Someone sent this e-mail through our contact page. We wanted to respond, because we mean no harm and are willing to discuss, but this message had some red flags.<\/p>\n

Hi there!
\nThis is Mellie and I am a professional illustrator.<\/p>\n

I was confused, frankly speaking, when I came across my images at your website. If you use a copyrighted image without my permission, you must be aware that you could be sued by the owner.<\/p>\n

It’s against law to use stolen images and it’s so filthy!<\/p>\n

Check out this document with the links to my images you used at bigfooteruption.com and my earlier publications to obtain evidence of my copyrights.<\/p>\n

Download it now and check this out for yourself:<\/p>\n

If you don’t remove the images mentioned in the document above within the next few days, I’ll write a complaint on you to your hosting provider stating that my copyrights have been infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property.<\/p>\n

And if it doesn’t work, you may be pretty damn sure I am going to report and sue you! And I will not bother myself to let you know of it in advance.<\/p>\n

Some red flags:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This person does not tell us what the stolen image was.<\/p>\n

Does not share the page link in Bigfoot Eruption with the stolen image.<\/p>\n

Forces me to go to a link that I am supposed to trust.<\/p>\n

The message starts out friendly, and ends in anger.<\/p>\n

Some incorrect grammar and\/or paragraph structure.<\/p>\n

We wanted to fwd the message to our lawyer, but that is at least $40 just for the lawyer to read it.<\/p>\n
