Tuesday, September 30, 2025 – Today we may have contact with them. Their name is Chilly’s Auto, Tangent, Oregon.
Dropping it off on Thursday, September 25, 2025, for a new Subaru auto repair shop to take a crack at it. The goal is for them to take it home over the weekend and get to know it better, specifically, the problem of turning off while driving.
Install front and back seat covers. Bought them to help sell it.
Create separate pages in this website for the hood problem, trunk issues, battery not staying charged, the dying while driving issue.
Still need hood to stay safely open. Trunk too. Both slam shut and are a hazard. Both have been issues since we bought it but having to repair other things first.
Need new trunk plywood/flooring. The trunk leak ruined the current one.
Still dies while driving.
Transmission Communication Module replaced for better shifting.
Needs front license plate harness.
Need to find information metal label from door jam.
Need to find hood ornament. Impossible to find online.
2025
Computer issue has been diagnosed. If we survive this, do we sell it? What if our mechanic can’t fix it at some point; however, we think we are already to that point as the mechanic is somewhat stumped. Note: As of September 24, 205, not sure what this was referring to. Computer brain already replaced. Maybe the transmission communication module.
We called on Friday, June 20, 2025, for the most recent update. Still waiting.
Trunk gaskets for taillights needs repaired. Bought gasket material two years ago. Now that trunk leak is fixed maybe this solves the problem, moisture in taillights. In not, then gasket material. Note: Taillights still get moisture so need to try the new gasket material?

Our 1994 Subaru SVX is now thirty years old. It drives smooth and strong, but some nagging issues.
Oil change due.
Fix leak in trunk, again.
Repair all gaskets in trunk.
Now truly overdue for an oil change.
New starter to finally fix occasional weak turnover.
Get a quote to have a body shop take seal trunk from leaking.
Headlight covers are yellow. Get a kit to buff them or pay to have it done.
Research online headlamps that are already looking good.
Find a good place for the extra computer brain we bought. They don’t make this part anymore.
