When this restaurant was a small shack on the edge of town, it was called the Bobcat Bite. I dreamed of naming it the Bigfoot Bite, when it was relocated and the name changed. So, the connection: nice that there is a chain called Bigfoot Bites. Reference, Oregon.

And then…

Great food and atmosphere. Feels like a 50’s diner, and it almost feels Squatchy. Honorable mention for the Santa Fe Bite, and perhaps they will accept a bigfoot carving from us someday. We will pattern it after their local sightings. We will attempt this after Karl’s Carvings (Waldport, Oregon) is ready for more Bigfoot carving-work. Karl and crew are currently mastering a wood sculpture for Bigfoot Eruption. We can also, get the Santa Fe Bite some other kind of Squatchy artifact that relates to their region.

In 2014 a pre-Eruption group of traveler’s stop in to see friends as they travel across the country, moving from Florida, back to Oregon. Santa Fe, was a big part of that trip; had to visit the Santa Fe Bite.

So again, for now the connection is that I wanted to start a Bigfoot Bite in Santa Fe, in honor of the defunct Bobcat Bite, and the irony that we have two Bigfoot Bites in Oregon.

Yes, this page was not too Squatchy, but maybe it could be, in the future.
