Still in recovery from surgery. Starting to dabble with podcasting again. Had a huge problem when the laptop ran out of storage space. Ordered the wrong external drive which took a month to get to us. Dell was nice and let us return it for free shipping. Ordered another drive but then was out of the habit of podcasting, and then the surgery.

Have not worked on the Bigfoot novel like we thought, while in recovery.

Successful gallbladder surgery on this day for the person that makes all this happen.

Due to trying to perfect our podcasting we had not had much to report in our sites, and then the surgery. Now there will be one month off from work (the day job) and we are now out of the habit of doing either the websites or the podcasting.

Called and recorded with contact, Merri of Corvallis, Oregon. She mentioned how it might be a practice episode. Will edit and put in our Bonus section. She may have shown the secret as to what “spirits” are. We will call it “Merri * Spirits * Life” as the goal was to discuss her paranormal journey and became a prequal. Topics of her mom and dad influencing her spiritual life and oddities. Childhood into adulthood medical complications that made life hard and may have encouraged the weird in her life. She touches on some of the spirit activity including one scary spirit encounter specifically involving an arm, but it is for certain, this episode prepares you for the next one that will include at least thirty haunting stories.

Updated Donations Page – Bigfoot Eruption

Called High Desert Museum, Bend, Oregon for permission to add photos from the “Experience Sasquatch” temporary exhibit. She said using our own pictures would be against the rules, but she would check with her boss. We are hoping that since the exhibit is concluded that we can use ours or use theirs with permission. She was nice but this really made us feal dirty but good thing we are asking.

Why tell her that we have our own pictures from the final day of the event? She asked how we had photos. This was the first big clue. Note: The day of the exhibit we notice no signs about not taking photos. Maybe we missed it.

9:00 A.M. Day 5 – 7th Request for Help: This makes seven calls we made this week. That is a goal because they are not open on weekends. The worker eventually accused us of critically breaking our website. The tone and usage of the English language may have made it sound worse, but it felt condemning.

“Using the Customize setting is like the blood of your website. Put the wrong thing in it and you will break it.”

He said we had to call WordPress because he does design of websites and not broken sites.

We called WordPress Support. We figured a call would be better than an instant chat for this. She asked some questions and left me on hold twice to search around. She was nice and apologetic. She found an error with a plugin, Easy Paypal Donation, that was not in my list of plugins, but the list of errors said it was. She deleted it. This fixed the site! Home page is now intact!

Later in the day after trying to fix our Donation page we noticed that our home page looked like this…

12:00 P.M. Day 4 – 6th Request for Help: Bluehost Pro Live Support tried to fix this homepage error. She said they needed thirty more minutes to complete the upload to fix it. So, since our 25 minutes was over, we agreed we would call back tomorrow.

8 A.M. Day 4 – 5th Request for Help: Bluehost Pro Live Support tried to fix the menu for the fourth day. As he was troubleshooting, I had the idea to just create a new menu that was smaller. Instead of making the giant one smaller we just made a new one and made it the primary. The tech agreed. He also deleted all plugins that we were not using. He said this can also slow down the speed of the site.

We had Heidi from Corvallis, Oregon surf around the site from her home and she confirmed the site is a lot faster.

We think we want to work for Pro Live Support.

12 A.M. Day 3 – 4th Request for Help: Bluehost Pro Live Support fixed our online store problem by telling us to get Bluehost chat to update to the newest version of WordPress.

8 A.M. Day 3 – 3rd Request for Help: Bluehost Pro Live Support tried to fix the menu for the third day.

Later, tried to update the menu. It took about five times but then it let me add two topics into the menu. Must say however, we were able, through the Customize portion under the Appearance tab of the Dashboard.

Committed to PRO DESIGN LIVE. Hoping to fix these problems:

Menu won’t let us update it.

Fulfillment store won’t let us create new products.

Getting low viewing numbers to site and zero purchases from online stores.

8 A.M. Day 1 – First request was for the menu problem. First, after listening to the “Welcome” portion of the call, he had me deactivate the Mega Max Menu plugin. Next, he had me, and he showed me how, to back up the site. Then we ran out of time, but he told me what to try after the very long back up process. It takes longer for a site this big.

Note: Each session can only be 25 minutes.

He had me check the Appearance section to get to the Menu to see if it worked. It did not.

Visting Beacock Music today, Albany, Oregon. We will take the mixer and laptop for help figuring out how to podcast and record through mixer to Audacity software on laptop.

Concluding that maybe the mixer we bought doesn’t work for our Podcast needs.

Hardline cord for phone to enter Mackie ProFXv3 mixer arrived and did not help problem with recording Bluetooth phone through mixer to Audacity for podcast recording.

Mackie 150 headphones arrived. Does not change our other problems.

Determining that the Maono microphone may be the best choice. We have it already and the Mackie microphones don’t seem to come with as much for the price. After ordering the Maono we had regret to keep everything a Mackie product, but for now we will keep what works.

Final day of the Experience Sasquatch exhibit at the High Desert Museum, Bend, Oregon. We made it on the final day!
