In 2016, before we were Bigfoot Eruption, we drove to the museum and they happened to be closed for a local event. Peeking through the window, it was clear that the Gift Shop was a Class “A” shopping event. Also a museum, so a must see for fans of the Bigfoot Phenomenon at Willow Creek, the center of the Bigfoot universe.

From most maps you can see the Museum is near the China Flat River; hence, the name.

Renae Holland of Animal Planet’s “Finding Bigfoot” visits this store/museum to interview a witness as seen in the episode, “50th Anniversary Special” RETURN OF THE LEGEND where they held the one-and-only Finding Bigfoot Festival for the episode, in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Patterson-Gimlin footage.

Our Bigfoot Eruption 2019 Redwoods Tour took us back to Willow Creek, and here are some images from our museum visit:

2019:

First, the classic t-shirt…

China Flat seems to be the birthplace of this mini-statuette, that we love; thus, the lowest price for them, is at the China Flat Museum.

When you enter the museum you are welcomed into the gift shop portion.

Next, the second portion of the museum is dedicated to local non-Bigfoot history.

Then the final stop, some Willow Creek and National Bigfoot History, including classic memorabilia, and art.
