Indigenous perspectives showcased in new Sasquatch exhibit at High Desert Museum in Bend – OPB

In January 2024, Cory, our Salem, Oregon Point of Contact let us know about this year long event. Our thanks to Cory, a real Bigfoot Eruption All-Star.

In May 2024, our knee therapist said he went to this exhibit and liked it very much. He said it proposed that Bigfoot travels through realms. Not necessarily a previous Bigfoot fan, Jared said he went because we had mentioned Bigfoot during a session. That made us feel good. Our thanks to Jared.

So now we really want to go. Research told us that we have until January of 2024. Thank goodness.

In January, on the exact final day of the exhibit we braved the snow and travelled over the Cascade pass from the Willamette Valley to the High Dessert of Oregon. SHockingingly it was less than 100 miles away.

It was worth the trip, and it left us hoping this museum would have another exhibit like this.

Note: During our visit we learned from the information desk that the planning for this started three or four years in advance. That is impressive. So, they may have an idea as to the next time they have a Bigfoot/Sasquatch exhibit.

It looks like we will not have images in this site that shows the amazing event. Hoping that it would be ok since the event is over, that looks to not be the case. We did call since the final day and did eventually reach a contact for this kind of coordination. We were told that they would talk to their boss but allowing images is not in their rule book.

We can say that in the OPBS show, Oregon Art Beat, an artist (Charlene “Tillie” Moody (Warm Springs)) for this exhibit was highlighted and shockingly, that broadcast showed a lot of the art and exhibit.

We recommend it. A link to the OPB episode is in this next link…

How did all of these news sources get permission? To understand better we offer this article we found:

We wondered, how we could represent this amazing exhibit by using A.I. images from Midjourney. Images that look nothing like the art at this exhibit. We would not get sued and this page would really pop.

A co-owner of Bigfoot Eruption says to just drop this page completely to avoid any issues.

We say this page is proof of our effort to do it the right way. Plus, we still want people to know how to get to this museum.

Don’t expect any fancy images on this page. We are pretty warn out from trying. Just imagine the idea of Sasquatch indigenous people and the feeling of different realms.
