While driving to Index, Washington to find the “Home of Harry and the Henderson’s” we noticed this amazing restaurant and Brewery in Sultan, Washington. It was impossible to miss!

They were a relatively new company as you can see:

We opened the front door, and someone said “Bigfoot Eruption, come on in” as he stood to shake Eliot Ness’ hand. Of all people, it was Mike Varnell, the owner. This was refreshing. It was as if someone had tipped him off, that we were coming; however, our Bigfoot Eruption gear probably gave us away.

We talked and he told us how they came up with the name, “Timber Monster.” The original choice was “Bigfoot Brewing Company”: but they could not use that name, so his daughter had the idea for “Timber Monster.” The Timber Monster is a Bigfoot, and a tribute to the logging community that is the heart and soul of Sultan.

We continued talking and it was clear, and agreed, that we would promote each other’s company. We exchanged shirts, and business cards. He will tell his Facebook nation, and we will tell ours.

Bigfoot Eruption will return to the Timber Monster Brewing Company. It is definitely a great place for Bigfoot enthusiasts, or anyone who wants a great meal and atmosphere. Mike will consider selling the Bigfoot Eruption shirts, and we can visit again in August 2018 if this is the case. Another option is that he will direct people to our Shops in the BigfootEruption.com site.

The Brewery can be seen from the dining area, and adds to the ambiance.

Maybe you can’t stop in to dine, so maybe the drive up window is what you need:

Mike told me that his first restaurant, a Coffee House, was further up the highway, thus, we parted ways, with high hopes.

Our thanks to Mike and Brandi Varnell for creating these memorable locations.

2022 Update:

We sent a Bigfoot Eruption Christmas card, several years ago, and it was returned, so we will work on double checking a mailing address. Still pending; however, the newer Google Map was put into this page August 1, 2022, so this street address should be good. We should call soon to confirm a proper mailing address.
