Bigfoot Eruption’s first t-shirt tribute to the fact that Leif Erickson had the first documented Bigfoot Encounters when he discovered North America (986 A.D.) when he landed on Canada; thus, the beginning of the Eruption. Many say this is true. A few say no. Regardless, this is still the beginning of modern-day dispute over a Bigfoot encounter. Either way, it is data, of something.
Note: There are earlier accounts (Alexander the Great’s Yeti sighting, Esau, Ancient Giants), but this was the earliest one that we heard of at the time, and it really made an impression on us. The North American vibe is there, so…
