See our 2020 update, below this initial description and photos…

Driving back to Albany, Oregon, from a Redmond, Oregon, high school graduation, travelling over the Cascade Mountain Range, Bev and Greg ran into the “unexpected.” To their surprise, a chance encounter, with this:

Mossy Bigfoot, Near Cascadia, Oregon; photo property of Bev.

The ladder suggests a recent project; a current project. The timing was perfect, to see it in action. They said it was not their when they had come from Albany. originally, and then on the way back to Albany, their it was!

Creation of a masterpiece; photo property of Bev.

Bev and Greg noticed a man working. They heard someone, most likely his wife, say, “Now your covered in moss!” They thought that was fun.

She sent Bigfoot Eruption these pictures by Instant Message, immediately; including, this one:

Crumbs to lead Bigfoot Eruption to the scene; photo property of Bev.

She even sent a Geo map. Thus, the planning began for the 45 minute trip from Albany, Oregon. We checked on the progress of work at Bigfoot’s Cave Steakhouse, which was on the way, in Lebanon, Oregon, and continued on our way.

Our travels needed a Dairy Queen stop in Sweet Home Oregon. For reference, Sweet Home is about 15 miles east of Lebanon, the home of Bigfoot Bites, and Bigfoot’s Cave Steakhouse.

At Dairy Queen we told two patrons of our intent and showed them Bev’s picture on our phone. They were pretty excited, and as we explained about our intent for that trip, and the crusade of Bigfoot Eruption over-all, we heard a distant voice. A voice sharing words  of knowledge, as if knowing everything we needed to know about the situation. Now we had already revealed that our map system could not locate the desired location.

49021 Canyon Creek, Road, Cascadia, Oregon???

Our phone revealed similar locations 82 miles away near Portland, Oregon, and also thousands of miles away on the other side of the country. That couldn’t be right.

The owner of the voice was a saint named “Les.” Standing under a nearby tree, he heard our discussion and knew everything we needed to know. The mossy Bigfoot was 13 miles further east out of Sweet Home. He even knew the names of the owner’s, Dennis and Amy. Hooray!!

We gave business cards so all involved could look up Bigfoot Eruption later, and enjoy the results of our quest, that was helped in a great way by their input.

We were looking for a Canyon View Road every chance we could and after 11 miles…

Looking for an instant classic, Bigfoot Eruption.

We were getting closer. Then, exactly 13 miles as Les had directed:

“X” marks the spot, Bigfoot Eruption

As you can see it is easily seen from the main highway leading over the Cascade Range that leads to Sisters, Redmond, and Bend, Oregon. So we needed not fear of whether or not it can be found, after all.

But could it really, be the place Bev and Greg had first inspired? Do the clues match? 49021?

We have a match, this is the place, Bigfoot Eruption.

We found it! You see the bundles of firewood, so here’s the deal: for $5 that you pay on the honor system, into a payment container, you can take one of the firewood stacks (camp wood).

Seeing that we would not get to meet Dennis or Amy, we took a $5 bill, folded in half to hold our Business card, with two sticky notes to explain our intentions to advertise them for free, and request any extra info that they may want to offer: e-mail, phone number, address, and maybe their story of their shop heritage…

As you can see it is a story worth telling:

We deem thee – Cascadia Bigfoot Firewood Sales, Bigfoot Eruption.

This post is a great example of what Bigfoot Eruption is all about, spreading the news; the Eruption is coming – available knowledge of the world of Bigfoot shops, and more, is coming.

Thank you to Dennis and Amy for sharing their creativity with us.

A special thanks to Bev and Greg Bower who understood the intent of Bigfoot Eruption and helped so that all of us could know.

Also, to the Eruption team for a fun journey; including, the patrons of Dairy Queen, and Less who was in the right place at the right time, showing possibly some intervention from above.

Go to our Eruption ALL-STARS page to see these who inspired and helped.

Again, 13 miles east of Sweet Home, Oregon on Santiam Highway (Highway 20) are the easiest directions we can give for now. When you pass the beautiful Cascadia State Park, you are almost there.

Contact the Eruption” if you get to visit this location. Send a Selfie Squatching pic!

2020

We can’t believe it but we think two years passed us by, with us not driving by this location. September 2020, we did, and we were surprised at the changes there. It Bigfoot is gone, but they have made it clear what they are calling themselves as a business, now. Check this out:
