This page is moreabout the fact that we do not know what to do with this topic. We couldn’t even bring ourselves to title this page “Harry Potter.”
A childhood friend was moving and gave us many Harry Potter books. Expensive, most likely. It was an act of kindness, but also a need to bail on some clutter. We accepted, and did not get into our personal feelings on the matter. It did not feel like a time to do anything but accept the “gift.”
This also shows that we don’t really know a lot about the controversy. A controversy mostly between the Harrp Potter franchise and Christians, even though most christians don’t care or actually love Harry Potter.
What do we stand for? Is this a case where weneed to know the proposed “evil?” Is this why we need to study evil to some extent.
Example: We have been studying Christian Cults lately. Each time it is glaring as to how they are wrong, if you hold fast to the Christian belief. Showing why the orifigial Christian faitrh is correct. Showing us that we do believe in the original Christianity concept and arenot fans of the offshoots that drift from the Bible.
For years we have said, “Well, Star Wars and its Jedi religion is ok, becasue that is not based on real life.”
This proves you can try and justify almost anything. Doesn’t mean you are right, but you can convince yourself. You know, numb that conviction.
If we research and learn that these harry Potter stroies are bad, then what? The author still has the rite to write these stories right? Yes, that is free will.
It does mean however, that as a Christain we are called to not be idiots. If you are salt and light, then you should know what darkness is?
Separation
Does something create separation from somoeoneand God?
What We Know
We were visiting an EasterSunrise service int he Oregon high desert.Somehow, after, we got into a discussion with the pastor who said he had to do a cleansing of a boys room that was decked out in harry Potter decorum. Walls, bedding, and more. The boy had been under some sort of oppression. Notsure if he was showeing signs of beoing possessed. When the pastor bured every item in a burn barrel there was screaming coming from the flames.
Honestly we were going to document burnign these books to see what happened. We have not done that yet in case we need to read them to see what the big deal is.
Portals
Some religiouds scholars and physicists claim that books canbe like portals in the sense of that the author, or whatever force, can influence your behavior. This would mean that you would not need to know the intent, the underlying intnet, to be affectd by it.
Baphomet
This authour has a bophomet tattoo, also know as Satan. Do we know this for sure? Well, we heard it feom someone that knows.
Christian
We heard the author was a Christian. What?
The Six
Their is data that shows that a group of Demons called “The Six” wrote or influenced the writing of these books. Well, that alone my justify this being in our demonic section. Even if that isn’t true. Research continues.Or, are we chasing our tails,when we should just be focused on God?
Worship
In parts of the world, Children want to grow up to be like Harry Potter. We may need to research what that means but the concern would be how that sounds like a special operation to eliminate Christ from our minds, which we know would be a goal of the ememy of God.
Witchcraft
Why didn’t we lead off with this one? The idea that real witrches were consulted to make the books more authentic cause us to pause. Are the spells real? Does it matter? We have learned that spells are real if they match the criteria.
Parents
Don’t be lazy when it comes to this.
Christ
Is somethign bad if Christ is not at the center? Oh wait, actually that is sort of obviousif you are a Christian. So we are mostly talking to Christians. The WORLD has the rite to do whatever, but that doesn’t mean you should have one foot in it. In the world, but not of the world? That is deep.
