List of Lutheran denominations – Wikipedia
We have heard that there are a lot of denominations in Christianity, and that is always perceived or purported (alleged but not necessarily true) as a bad thing. Well, for example, maybe Zambia deservers to have its own leadership/counsel so that makes sense.
If we bash Christianity for having denominations, then do we bash each denomination for having a lot of branches off its own tree?
Do you see how in the Bigfoot phenomenon or in bashing Christian Denominations, someone has strategized to have us all chasing our tails. The agenda to waste our time, while withholding the real truths from us.
Our contact that is deconstructing out of Christianity is tired of chasing his tail. Nothing we research has helped him so far, as he says he is beyond all that and has already researched all things Christian for years. But we have learned a lot.
Note: The Wikipedia links above are very thorough. Lots of info.
Bigfoot Eruption Breaks It Down:
When we visited a Lutheran Church we were not allowed to take communion, because we are not Lutherans that had been through their confirmation process.
However, they seem very legitimate, biblically speaking. The love for Catholicism was still apparent, as they tweaked some things that just wasn’t in their convictions. Is that, ok? Well, it should be. At least it is their rite to do so.
Note: Again, we are working on the hypothesis that having many denominations only weakens Christianity as a whole, but breaking from another group because of irreconcilable reasons, what else can you do? Who planted the seeds that led to the split?
We have learned from our Lutheran Point of Contact that there are three major sections of Lutheranism.
The one that teaches and embraces the Bible, is the Lutheran Missouri Counsel.
The one that takes much of the Christian meaning out of the scriptures, is the Episcopal Branch. The prominent Missouri Branch, pretty much doesn’t consider them to be Lutheran.
The choices that led to the creation of the Episcopal branch, in which there are less restrictions/guidelines from Christ, is this a clue?
