Back to Contradiction Recon…

Proposal that God is Abortion-minded:

Note: So, now the world thinks abortion is bad? Not bad if people do it but bad if God does it? A woman’s right to choose, but God cannot. (?)

Hosea 13:16
Because she has rebelled against her God . . . their little ones shall be dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open.

Hosea 13:16 Samaria will bear her guilt because she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open. (biblehub.com)

Hosea 13:15-16 KJ21 – Though he be fruitful among his – Bible Gateway

Of course, we went to this verse, and it sounds concerning by itself, and then read the whole chapter. The “she” is a country that has given in to Baal worship, basically satanism. Worshipping Idols and a lot more. Some seriously bad behavior. So, God isn’t just being random.

Note: God doesn’t destroy a people group these days, and then put it in a Bible for the world to read forever. But back then, things were written down, were later found, and recorded.

So, as much as you may not like God, He felt he had his reasons, but look at this in its entirety.

First of all, the next chapter explains how to avoid this wrath, by repenting, and comes across as loving.

Hosea 14 KJ21 – O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God, – Bible Gateway

But back to chapter 13.

Hosea 13 KJ21 – When Ephraim spoke, trembling, he – Bible Gateway

God is explaining that this behavior will result in being stricken down by the sword, and what would happen to kids who get in the way when an army of sword wielding soldiers tramples through? They will sadly end up on the ground, or worse. Next if all people are falling to the sword, that includes pregnant people, and what would the result be of falling by the sword if you are pregnant? Yes, the now opened body would likely lose its contents. We don’t see here that God is enjoying this. But, with His protection gone; with His protection dismissed by the Baal worshippers, we feel God is simply saying what would happen based on the Baal worshippers using their earthly dominion to tell God “We don’t want you, nor do we want your help.”

Again, chapter 14 reveals how to avoid this calamity, as if God is begging for them to change, because He does love them.

Hosea 14 KJ21 – O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God, – Bible Gateway

It just seems that punishing Israel, or Samaria, was trying to get his people to “get it right” in those critical days, but they kept straying from the plan.

Is this stupid Christian Potluck reasoning? Hey, we are trying.

We can say that researching this proposed Bible contradiction, and reading the whole chapter, and then the chapter after, made us feel a whole lot better. Yes, that part of the verse does sound awful. Thank goodness that a redemption option was offered.

Can we consider that God knows all things, and perhaps they did enough to lose their protective covering from God. By relying on Baal and idol worship. Like messing up a successful formula or agreement?

Bonus: Hey we just realized as we were reading the whole book of Hosea, this is the Hosea that married a prostitute! We feel so silly. Now it really makes sense. God wanting an earthly example of what Israel was doing to him, He asked Hosea to marry a prostitute. As Hosea loved her more and more, she, Gomer, kept hurting him. Thanks, Hosea, for taking one for the team.

In context we feel that God is not wanting the abortion of the unborn but is warning them of what would happen without His covering. Israel’s earthly dominion means if they tell God to shove off, that God will step aside, but still gives the warning.

Are we swayed by our God-bias? Sorry, the offering of redemption from the situation, at the end, shows that this is actually a love letter.

Numbers 5:21–22
May the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.

Numbers 5:21–22 KJ21 – then the priest shall charge the woman – Bible Gateway

Oh, so God is now a real jerk? Caught Him red handed? Let’s again, begin with content provided by the supporting verses.

Initially, the two verses have us confused. God happily killing babies in the womb isn’t clear.

Reading the whole Chapter, we see that Moses and Aaron are trying to get something official instituted, for what to do when a wife cheats and gets pregnant. So, they create a curse with God’s blessing. The woman drinks the cursed water and if her thigh swells and if her belly swells. If this doesn’t happen, then she is cleared and congrats on the pregnancy.

Shouldn’t we be more concerned about the creating of curses? Somone call the curses police!

Pending, our research on cooking up some Goldy curses.

God is not pro-life?

Hosea 9:11–16
Ephraim’s glory will fly away like a bird—no birth, no pregnancy, no conception. Even if they rear children, I will bereave them of every one. . . . But Ephraim will bring out their children to the slayer. Give them, Lord—what will you give them? Give them wombs that miscarry and breasts that are dry. . . . I will no longer love them . . . Even if they bear children, I will slay their cherished offspring.

Oh good, Hosea, we just got done reading Hosea. Again, we are confused by only reading this verse.

God created life, so it would be hard to believe that He is not pro-life, right? God is on trial for not being pro-life?

Hosea 9 KJ21 – Rejoice not for joy, O Israel, as other – Bible Gateway

The context given, has a theme of drying up prosperity for the evil state of Israel. Again, at the final chapter God offers a redemption that would take away all of these consequences.

We want to ask around/have more discussions. So, if Israel is doing evil, then they shouldn’t be held accountable? The whole earth should just be allowed to be evil? No consequences?

Note: drying up wombs are the lesser of what God says He will do against Israel.

Note: Again, none of this happens if they repent.

Note: Israel is always the first to be held accountable by God. Hey, why is anyone feeling bad for Israel? No one in the world likes Israel except Jews and Christins, right? The world hates Israel for being God’s chosen. So, why are some mad at God for holding Israel accountable?

Calling out God for threatening a consequence seems to be pointing out the satanic agenda in the accusations.
