We do an internet search for renew my LLC/State of Oregon…

The first many options in this search will be the companies that charge you extra to do it for you.

Scroll down until you find your Secretary of State Business page.

Once there look in the list of options for the word “Renew.” Click it.

It will then want your business registry number. To find this number

It will look like this: Business Registry Business Name Search (state.or.us)

On the top left you will see your business registry number.

But to find your page like this, you can do a search using your business name. This can be done in your Secretary of State business section.

This year, 2024, we did this and after putting in our registry number, it said that we were not due. This made us feel better.

Note: We are on high alert because a company sent us a warning notice about it. Why? Because they want our business.

But for a cool $100, we can do it ourselves.

Contact your lawyer’s front desk to see if your lawyer and other info are still the same. Emailing the front desk person means you won’t be charged for using up time from them. You will need this info as what you are really doing is the Yearly Business Report. Sounds scary, but it is just that you are still an LLC, registered agent’s name (lawyer), address, and so on.

Note: We pay nothing to have a lawyer on file. A small business lawyer.

There is a service you can find on the internet that helps you find the kind of lawyer you need.

The address is requested, and we use our lawyer’s address, in the hope that if we are sued, or other negative contact, our lawyer will see it first. This is the hope.

Image used because doing LLC Renewal always feel like a scary leap of faith, when it shouldn’t feel scary. But it is.
