Hayden Homes has a community garage sale every summer. Wink, wink-as hard as we try to keep our address private, this would be a way to see where all the magic happens.

This year we sold the “Shield” t-shirt, both standard white ink and Glow-In-The-Dark ink. Both kinds of ink look white in the daylight.

Standard “Shield” t-shirt: Black, Red, Forest Green.

Our first customer, Danny Stevens, Albany, Oregon, went home with this t-shirt. We call it the SHIELD. He was interested in our story and what we were all about. We gave him this t-shirt so he could spread the word. He was glad to do it. He received the non-glow version.

Next, Courtney and Sue arrived and thought the shirts were really cute. They wanted to by some of the Eruption shirts, to give away as gifts. Sorry if we just ruined the surprise! For $20 I let them have three of these. Hey, it was like a garage sale. I couldn’t charge, what I have to charge in the Bigfoot Eruption Shop?

Their purchases looked like this:Speaking of our Shop, we have two. The Bigfoot Eruption Shop has all of these shirts that we have made in Oregon:

Bigfoot Eruption Shop

The next one is a fulfilment store:

Eruption Printful Shop

Both can be found in the Bigfoot Eruption site menu.

Finally, as things were closing, we felt a need to get our neighbor, Milroy, a Glow-In-The-Dark Eruption tee; we worked a trade. He got a shirt, and Kyler Ness received two nerf guns, three books, one cookie, and an assortment of Pez dispensers. This was a good trade.

Once again we basically made no money after giving away shirts for free, but the bigger point is to spread the word about the Eruption, and to help people get excited about being a part of this new culture.

Community Sale 2018, by Eliot Ness

Does it make you wonder what our favorite Bigfoot picture is? Hoax or not, we love that photo.

The worst part of the day was when a couple parked in front of our house, and we heard something shocking. They did not come to our humble sale, but walked passed our house and across the street. We have some super powers that most should not want, and that is hearing something negative from a distance. He said, “I don’t know what those idiot’s are doing, unless they are making a movie.”

This was maddening. We almost said something. There is an Eruption setting, that goes off after being picked on for a long time, until finally it just goes off right away, after years of getting dumped on. We let it go, but we want to say that everyone is unique and if you find us odd, then just keep it to yourself, BECAUSE WE CAN HEAR YOU! Should we be glad we at least got his attention? Ok, at this point, play the “Bigfoot Eruption” song, really loud!

Also, mistakes were made. We stayed up until 3:30 AM working on the Bigfoot Eruption Shop (online), and then slept through our 7:30 AM alarms. The Community Sale opened at 9:00 AM, which meant that customers arrived at 8:00 AM.

Another error, was that we advertised on Craig’s List, the night before which is not soon enough.

One more factor, which can’t be avoided, is that a lot of people just don’t care. We watch a lot of Bigfoot shows and movies, search online for Bigfoot culture, and so for us it is in our everyday life. It is true that we need to be vendors at Bigfoot Festivals so that we are surrounded by like minded people. We are too late to apply at the Oregon Bigfoot Festival, which is in August, but have submitted our application for the Bigfoot Bash at Logtoberfest for October 6, 2018 in Home Valley, WA near the Columbia River.
